About Carscape Studio

Carscape Studio is the work of a New Zealand-born, Australia-based graphic designer, amateur photographer, surfer, classic vehicle owner, restorer and lifelong automotive enthusiast.

Those influences come together through a fascination with landscape, weather, old machinery and memory. Years spent around classic vehicles, photography, design and the coastlines and mountains have shaped both the subjects and the atmosphere of the work.

At the heart of Carscape Studio is Remembered Places™ — imagined landscapes that feel strangely familiar, as though they may once have existed somewhere in memory.

Some works are quiet and contemplative. Others carry more movement, weather and drama. What connects them is a strong sense of place: remote coastlines, mountain valleys, abandoned buildings, old roads, fading machinery and the feeling that something happened there long before we arrived.

The vehicles are part of that landscape rather than separate from it. They are weathered, imperfect and lived-in — objects that suggest history, character and stories without needing to explain them.

Each Carscape Studio artwork is developed through a contemporary studio workflow using Adobe Photoshop, Luminar Neo, Reve V2.1, SeedVR upscaling and extensive hands-on refinement, before being carefully prepared for large-format printing.

Selected works are produced in Australia as signed archival prints on museum-grade cotton rag paper using archival pigment inks.

Carscape Studio is about creating places you can almost remember — landscapes shaped by weather, memory and the machines left within them.
